"I moved from Homantin to Discovery Bay"

The company is called Expert Movers, sometimes called Expert-Transport & Relocations Ltd. It seems they may have edited or removed their name from this website.
I had a disappointing experience with the lady who was dealing with me. Before our move, she insisted that we should try to keep it within 1 day, as it would save costs for them, which I agreed. During our move, she suddenly turned aggressive and started using abusive words such as “You are inhumane”, “This is not how we do business”, and started calling me and talking at me incessantly.
Secondly, after having multiple viewings and conversations, the relocation quote was $11,800 + add-ons. It should have reflected as much of our situation as possible, such as the size of our stuff. The latest invoice turned out to be $19,690, which was as much as 66.8% or $7,890 (!) higher. To be clear, I accepted a number of the add-ons which were not new, but had real concerns about the $1,000 disputed charges which they charged for “extra boxes”, when they provided insufficient boxes in the first place and they had offered to “give you the boxes” instead of charging us. There is a total of up to $1,720 which is under dispute – which they totally refused to acknowledge. They started calling me aggressively again and it was not possible to have a further conversation.
Most disappointingly, after moving, I found out that our TV switches were broken. The TV switches were perfectly working and in perfect conditions right before moving. As evidence, I even sent them two photos of them when they were in Homantin (1 August) which further demonstrate that they were in perfect conditions. It is very clear that the damage happened during the move. We paid $900 to the moving company for dismounting and moving this TV, for a total bill of ~$20,000, we are really disappointed with this outcome.
The repair cost quoted from our TV company was $1,500. They were dismissive and tried to disregard my complaint, and again tried to call me incessantly. They offered to come “in a few days” to try to fix it, but after ONE MONTH, they have not come. After receiving my payment, they now disregard this damage altogether. Again, disappointing experience and I am still trying to pursue this with Consumer Council – I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.
