Ridiculous
Since this was the first time I used a company for international moving, I had no idea about how to go about it which was clearly communicated to the team at Al Sabaa Movers. A man named Ejaz came over to do the survey and I informed him that I need insurance for my items, especially my tv which cost me around 18,000 DHS. I was told to pay and extra 250dhs and get a wooden box for my TV to be extra careful. However, when I received the shipment I noticed the tv wasn't in a wooden box and once I unpacked it, it was completely ruined. When I asked Ejaz and his colleagues on how to claim the insurance, they told me that I didn't take the insurance. So, I went through my emails and showed their operations manager Kishwar the email where I asked him to send me the insurance form, he only sent me a VIS form, which I thought was the insurance form. Keep in mind, this was my first experience with international moving and I made it clear that I want insurance.
Anyways, this went on for weeks, the person who came for the survey Ejaz claims he doesn't remember me, eventhough when he came over we discovered we are from the same country and he said I'll get the best price and the best wooden box for the TV. Sadly, I don't have the survey receipt which clearly stated insurance and wooden box and to make things more surprising, none of the people working there have a copy of that receipt. "It has magically disappeared from all records" these were the words of their Sales Manager Pramod.
So, if anyone looking to work with Al Sabaa Movers, please don't. I ended up paying over 10,000 DHS to move my items from Dubai to Amsterdam, eventhough I was told the maximum I'll have to pay is 6000 dhs, ended up with several broken applicants and furniture, broken tv and a waste of time chasing these highly unprofessional lot and being lied to during every conversation.
I wouldn't suggest or recommend anyone to deal with them. All they care about is to close a deal and once that's done they "magically disappear"
Thanks
