Port charges of destination country were not indicated

Port charges of destination country were not indicated in the quote. When i called the Al Sabaa operations team they simply mentioned if the sale guy (who had quit) didnt mention it in the quote it was my responsibility to read all the clauses and sub clauses. Instead of taking ownership of the flaw in the way the company operates, they simply put the blame on the customer as they know its a one time purchase.

Worst.

I have used their Services recently. Management and Staff are not sincere. I have faced damages and wrong installation. I will never reccomend anyone to use their services unless you are willing to bear losses and unnecessary stress.

Horrible Experience

We were relocating to Mumbai, India and wanted to send our household items by ship. We contacted this company and requested for a quote. A representative (Pramod) came to survey the stuff and said we would require a 7 cubic meter area and quoted us approx AED 5000. On the packing day, our total packing came to 12 cubic meters, a massive 5 cubic meter difference which cost us an additional (approx.) AED 3000.
On 15 Feb 2020, I got a voice messages from +971 527299777 asking if I could pay Universal Relocations (the India counterpart) money and they transfer the money of an equivalent amount into my bank account in Dubai. He also sent me the bank details for Universal Relocations. I told that man I have closed my bank accounts.
We were told we would get our furniture in approx. months’ time however it took us 2 months to get it.
During the survey, the company rep. mentioned that we would have to pay customs in India and all other charges would be paid by them however once we paid customs, we were sent an invoice from Universal Relocations (the India counterpart) worth approx. INR 40000 (40% of total the quotation) as Port Charges. We spoke to Universal Relocations stating that apart from customs were didn't have to pay for anything else. The person on the phone said that they would not deliver our furniture and appliances without the payment. We spoke to Al Saba and Kishwar was rude. He said that Pramod (the rep. who surveyed our house) had left and that it was not his problem if we were not communicated all the charges. He also mentioned that payment of Port Charges is mentioned in their (super long) list of clauses.

Ridiculous

Since this was the first time I used a company for international moving, I had no idea about how to go about it which was clearly communicated to the team at Al Sabaa Movers. A man named Ejaz came over to do the survey and I informed him that I need insurance for my items, especially my tv which cost me around 18,000 DHS. I was told to pay and extra 250dhs and get a wooden box for my TV to be extra careful. However, when I received the shipment I noticed the tv wasn't in a wooden box and once I unpacked it, it was completely ruined. When I asked Ejaz and his colleagues on how to claim the insurance, they told me that I didn't take the insurance. So, I went through my emails and showed their operations manager Kishwar the email where I asked him to send me the insurance form, he only sent me a VIS form, which I thought was the insurance form. Keep in mind, this was my first experience with international moving and I made it clear that I want insurance.

Anyways, this went on for weeks, the person who came for the survey Ejaz claims he doesn't remember me, eventhough when he came over we discovered we are from the same country and he said I'll get the best price and the best wooden box for the TV. Sadly, I don't have the survey receipt which clearly stated insurance and wooden box and to make things more surprising, none of the people working there have a copy of that receipt. "It has magically disappeared from all records" these were the words of their Sales Manager Pramod.

So, if anyone looking to work with Al Sabaa Movers, please don't. I ended up paying over 10,000 DHS to move my items from Dubai to Amsterdam, eventhough I was told the maximum I'll have to pay is 6000 dhs, ended up with several broken applicants and furniture, broken tv and a waste of time chasing these highly unprofessional lot and being lied to during every conversation.

I wouldn't suggest or recommend anyone to deal with them. All they care about is to close a deal and once that's done they "magically disappear"

Thanks

move from Dubai to Paris - very bad experience with AlSabaa

all bad surprises from end to end:
at pre-sale: quotation estimated to 4500 AED - once packed the price ended up to 11000 AED! I understand one could underestimate but not to more than 50% -
Delivery: delivery time estimated to 35 days - it took more than 2 months and a half - additional fees required for UK custom for about 800 pounds - don't understand why it is going though the UK to get to Paris - why UK custom are requiring fee for personal belongings - AlSabaa threatned not to release our belongings if we don't pay.
One positive side: the crew in charge of packing/loading, delivering/unpacking were good.
If I have to give a rate, I would say 2/10.
Globally, AlSabaa international movers is a company I do not recommend.

Bad service, hidden cost and unrespectable sub contractors

Offered cheapest prices, hidden cost at destination, dealing with several subcontractors with very low level of following-up, container reached to destination sea port with only first name stated in shipping invoice without contact details, asked for additional amount, refuse to assemble staff once reach to new home, do not respect their promises and agreed service level, really bad experience.

Dubai to Warsaw Poland

Organization was good. Communication was good. Unfortunately even though the items seemed to be packed well some smaller items(ornaments) were broken when unpacked & TV was wrecked(frame bent & screen broken). Unfortunately for us when did not have any insurance to cover.

Very dishonest, very misleading

First the positives:
The door-to-door price seems reasonably competitive, although not nearly the lowest. We chose Al Sabaa due to a good price/time ratio.
Estimated door-to-door shipment time 30-35 days.
The packing team showed up on time, worked really hard and did a great job, even if it was during Ramadan.
Their office team has advised to organise packing and collection before the 27th of May 2018, so that our shipment could be put on a boat leaving by the UAE before the end of May 2018. So we gave it plenty of time to be sure. Our cargo got picked on the 23rd of May.

The negatives.
Dishonest about delivery time. Despite the originally quoted door-to-door shipment time 30-35 days, it''s going to be approx 3 times longer.
We are now into the third month of waiting. We are told it may be another 5 weeks before arrival. We slowly bough replacement items for most of the essential items we shipped home. Waste of money to start with.Very dishonest, very misleading,

Worst company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with

Worst company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Left dubai a month ago, our shipment still hasn't even left the warehouse! Have no idea how to complain, am so upset with the way I've been treated! Was only 6cbm and they keep saying they don't have the space. The goods I have are very expensive. Never again!

Al Sabaa International Movers

The move/shipment was delayed by almost a month. I was quoted a certain amount and tax was not shown on the invoice. As a result, the final invoice changed and I was charged a higher amount. In addition, they knew very little about duty/clearing in South Africa and the shipment was delayed as a result.

On the plus side, they packed the inventory very quickly and efficiently. Probably won't recommend this company to my friends.

Al Sabaa International Movers

I'm completely disappointed:
1- i pay for timber box to install the TV but when arrive in UK only in cartoon box. At moment the TV not work because not been protected as per my request and pay.
2- I pay for 230kg in Dubai, when my things arrive showing only 110kg.
3- I will not recommend to my friends The-Relocator or partners.
4- very soon I will take action, I will post in several internet sites the documents showing Al Sabaa Movers is no company to use.

Al Sabaa International Movers

Sabaa movers were quick to respond to the initial request and quick to collect the shipment. Sadly they did not up keep their seemingly good service. Their response time to mails was very slow, I had to send multiple mails and phone calls to obtain responses. They shipped my things through the UK and made me pay VAT though my final destination was germany and my things had no business going to UK.
They were unreachable when i enquired about delivery dates and kept redirecting me to other shippers. They were rude on the phone to me. Overall pretty unpleasant experience. Not a happy customer and do not recommend al sabaa.

Al Sabaa International Movers

Never use this company! Very unprofessional and greedy. I was made promises that the company did not fulfill. They were very slow to respond to my emails and telephone calls. For weeks I did not hear from them. I have been waiting almost 3 months for my delivery. The container arrived in a UK port and was kept on hold for weeks. I was blackmailed by Mr. Kishwar Sajjad (Lead - Import and Export for Al Sabaa Movers) into paying for the demurrage, at a cost of £430.00, otherwise I was told the fee would be doubled the next day. My desk arrived damaged and a large stainless steel tray is missing. They over-charged me for the volume of my shipment and never sent me their terms and conditions. Avoid Al Sabaa Movers at all costs!

Al Sabaa International Movers

I changed my destination to Melbourne. My stuffed were packed on 2nd July as agreed before and I was very happy with the quality of packing to be honest. But since then, I am chasing them to know when exactly my shipment will arrive in Melbourne without a proper response. First they said the ship will sail away on 14th July and then when I called on 20th July to see the status and get the manifest etc. they told me it is still in Jebel Ali and it made me a angry since family will arrive in Melbourne on 27th Aug and everyday of delay in my shipment means 300 dollar cost of hotel per day. Then surprisingly Al Sabaa agent raised his voice and said if you do not have trust in us I would immediately order our agent to return your shipment from Jebel Ali !!!! That is unbelievable since I have canceled my UAE visa and have to leave the country.
As they said, the ship sailed on 22nd which means 20 days after collection of my stuff and God only knows when it will arrive.

Al Sabaa International Movers

The most unorganised, inefficient ineffective moverever. Told us that our shipment will board for Sydney from dubai on the 25/5/17 and (we have what's app messages to prove that)but still today is 4/7/17 we do not have any shipment details whatsoever. One time we thought of going to Dubai police but did not. Told us after 3 time inspection that it will 11 sq cm but later after packing said no it it is now 14 sq cm with 1500 dhms more. Most unprofessional ever. I still don't have any news about my shipment. We planed our move in a way so that when we reach Sydney we get our stuff in 2 weeks max as a grace so we selected them. Now I have two two twins old freezing in cold without our stuff it is winter here

Al Sabaa International Movers

Al Sabaa International Movers moved us from Dubai to the UK and UK Movecorp Ltd then cleared customs and delivered our things to France. Al Sabaa did a good job and the packing was good (one planter pot was totally shattered due to them putting another pot inside it), and all items seemed to be well packed. The price was by far the cheapest! Our tenants in the apartment said they were a little slow in the packing process, but it could well have been the tenants who slowed them down...in any case, it was all completed on the day, but maybe rushed a little at the end, due to time constraints on needing to get the truck out of the building by the body corporate. UK Movecorp were slow on their end with delivery to France, as they held the shipment for over two months in their warehouse due to some office misunderstanding on duty payment. Payment was made immediately, but the girl who took the payment didn't register it in their system. We were not in a hurry so it wasn't an issue.

We had a great experience with Al Sabaa. Their customer service and local agents were exceptional. Even when you have issues, you can depend on Al Sabaa to be with you all the way to the end.
Thank you.

Perhaps one of my worst life experiences. An absolute nightmare. These people are deliberately misleading and grossly incompetent. I would avoid them at all costs. There are not seem to be unable to speak or write coherently, and often are unable to answer that most simple inquiries. Furthermore, they are often rude and short-tempered. Once they have your money, they couldn't care less, and customer service becomes zero.
